Encapsulation

Enhance the appearance of your print and protect the surface against wear and tear.

Polyester (mylar) film is applied to both sides of a paper sheet as it is fed through heated rollers. The heat activates the adhesive and bonds the film to the paper. The finished pieces usually have a sealed lip of film all around the edges for durability. Adhesion of film can be a problem in areas of heavy ink coverage. Let us run complimentary tests to ensure a good result.

We offer services for small and large format projects. Materials such as event passes, counter cards, phone lists, internal documents, menus, placemats, etc. are ideal for our small format services (up to 18”). We can also handle banners, charts, event posters, calendars and/or project charts with our large format services (up to 60”).

  • Small quantities or 1000s – our turnaround is fast
  • We offer 3 gauges of film: 3mil, 5mil, and 10mil, and two finishes: gloss or matte. (1 mil equals 1/1000th of an inch). After encapsulating, we offer options for trimming, hole punching and corner-rounding.

Pouch Laminating

A heavy, two-sided lamination seals and protects your small printed insert. We stock eight different sizes, and we can special order others. Lanyards, luggage tag straps and badge clips are all kept in stock.
